Continued Growth
Growth in the area of service feels like relatively uncharted territory for me. Speaking candidly, this is the area in which I have the least experience and formal training. As I continue to develop in this area, I plan to rely heavily on my mentor, Charles Guy, for guidance and perspective.
My philosophy regarding service is that it should extend beyond obligation. I aim to seek opportunities to serve the university that align with my skill sets and passions, allowing me to contribute in meaningful and effective ways. I recognize the expectation to be more broadly engaged across campus, and I intend to explore opportunities such as participation in Faculty Senate. Ultimately, my goal is to identify areas of service that align with my strengths and provide mutual benefit to both the institution and my own professional growth.
