Based in the Baltimore-Washington area, Dr. Luke Spence is a freelance classical trumpet player equally at home in orchestral, chamber, and solo settings. He has performed at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and throughout China and Europe. An avid educator, Dr. Spence manages a growing private studio, gives masterclasses at public institutions, and is the director of Brass Ensemble at the University of Maryland School of Music.
