Testimonials

"Luke Spence was my first trumpet teacher, and continues to be one of the best I've ever had. He not only taught me the basics about the trumpet, but he also taught me to be a better musician, which gave me an extraordinary amount of confidence."
        -Shazabe, Ellicott City, MD

"Our son Wyatt really enjoyed the time he spent studying trumpet with Luke Spence. Wyatt's confidence and knowledge grew tremendously because of Luke's expertise and ability to shape a lesson around what Wyatt needed. Luke is very likable and professional, and a fully capable instructor."
        -Robert, Wakeman, OH
"We are immensely fortunate to have Luke Spence as our daughter's teacher. Luke has an exceptional ability to teach trumpet. He is extremely professional, kind, reliable, pleasant, and always positive. His explanations are always considerate and encouraging, so he is able to bring out the very best in his students. Luke's own trumpet sound is so outstanding with such a clear, beautiful tone, and is able to demonstrate the various pieces perfectly. He also has a remarkable ability to listen and diagnose- drawing from various schools of thought and trumpet [pedagogy] in order to build the best sound in the student. Our daughter's tone, technique, sound, approach to practicing, and overall musicianship has improved under Luke's excellent, effective teaching."
         -Parent, Howard County, MD
